JUNIOR VARSITY HEAD COACH
Robert Eisiminger
Coach Eisiminger played 2 years of varsity Football at Westland John Glen for Coach Lloyd Carr (Former U of M Head Coach) before moving onto play at Northern Michigan University, which including being a part of the N.M.U. 1975 National Championship Team.
Coach Eisiminger earned his Bachelor degree in teaching from Eastern Michigan University. While Coach Eisiminger was attending E.M.U. he also coached varsity football for 5 years at Westland John Glen.
Coach Eisiminger then moved to Naples, Florida and coached varsity football there for 2 years.
Coach Eisiminger was hired into Garden City Schools in 1986 and served as the head varsity football coach for 9 years. During Coach Eisiminger’s tenure as head coach his 1992 team was co-league champions of the Northwest Suburban Athletic League. In addition, Coach Eisiminger was selected as the Observerland Coach of the Year in 1992.
In addition to coaching football, Coach Eisiminger served as the GCHS head varsity baseball coach for 5 years.
Coach Eisiminger received his Masters Degree Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and an Ed Specialist from Wayne State University in Administration. He is currently employed as a counselor at Garden City Middle School.
Coach Eisiminger has been married to his wife Julia for 5 years and has 2 children. Coach Eisiminger’s daughter, Kristen, is graduating from Michigan State University this summer. His son, Billy, is finishing up his freshman year at Saginaw Valley State University.
