Junior Varsity Assistant Coach
Harold Lovelace
Coach Lovelace is a 1987 graduate of John Glenn High School. He was on the first team in John Glenn history to make it to the state semi-finals in football. He played at the tight-end position.
After his senior year, he had the opportunity to attend The University of Wisconsin on a track scholarship, but instead chose to attend The University of Toledo on a full athletic scholarship. He was recruited as a tight-end, but quickly put on a lot of weight and was moved to the left offensive tackle position.

This will be Coach Lovelace’s third year coaching football at the high school level. He is very excited about being presented with this opportunity by Coach Murray. He is very motivated to build a winning tradition at Garden City and hopes to contribute in any way possible. He feels that he has blessed in many ways and looks forward to being able to give back to Cougar Football program.
Coach Lovelace has been employed with Ford Motor Co. for the past 17 ½ years at the Wayne Complex.
Coach Lovelace has been married to his wife Michelle for 21 years and has three daughters. Larisa, his oldest, graduated from Garden City and is attending Adrian College pursuing a degree in education. His twins Faith and Hope will be seniors at Garden City and graduating in 2013.
