Defensive Coordinator

Michael Roffi

Coach Michael Roffi graduated from Garden City High School in 1985.  While at GCHS, Coach Roffi played football and baseball, along with his twin brother Mark.  After graduating from GCHS, Coach Roffi attended Henry Ford Community College for two years and then moved on to Eastern Michigan University, where he earned his bachelor degree in secondary education, specializing in Biology.  Coach Roffi earned his Masters Degree from Wayne State in Education Leadership.  Coach Roffi has been teaching for the past 15 years, with 5 at Riverview High School and the last ten at Walled Lake Central High School.        

Coach Roffi has been coaching football and baseball for the past 25 years.  Coach Roffi began coaching in 1986 at Redford Bishop Borgess as their defensive backs coach.  Coach Roffi then coached defensive backs at Romulus (1987-1992) and at Garden City (1993 - 1994) before being hired at Walled Lake Western (1995 – 1999) as a their defensive backs coach and then moving to linebackers.  During Coach Roffi’s stint at Walled Lake Western, the football team won two state championships (1996 & 1999).   Coach Roffi was then hired as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Walled Lake Central High School (2000-20008).   Coach Roffi returned to Walled Lake Western as their defensive coordinator (2009-2010).  Coach Roffi welcomes the opportunity to return to his alma mater, Garden City High School and coach in his back yard. 

Coach Roffi serves as the head baseball coach for Walled Lake Central High School.

Coach Michael Roffi is married to his wife, Sarah, and they have three children: Alexandria, Drew, and Samantha.
